Inglot Haul.

Recently I went on a trip to Westfield with my sister, who was looking to purchase a new foundation and spend . I went along for the trip, and ended up buying even more from Inglot. Though I was pleased that my 5 Inglot items cost less than her 1 Mac product :D. I thought I'd share what I got as I'm happy with them overall.

Soft Precision Lipliner in '56'
I'd never used lip liner before, which I know isn't great, considering I'm 22. But when my sister got married a couple of months, I got my make-up professionally done. I'm someone that doesn't really like to use lots of things on my lips, I have a bad habit of pulling on my lower lip alot, so it seems kind of pointless. Rose and Almond Oil Vaseline is all I need. But when the make-up artist used lip liner, I really liked how it gave my lips a prominent shape before she put on lipstick. So when passing through the shops (and being in that awkward finances stage of your last loan installment slowly dwindling) I decided I wanted to get a lip liner from Inglot, as I've always seen them as a cheaper Mac.
The assistant pointed out this Soft Precision Lipliner in '56', retailing at £8. I like anything that goes on my lips to be quite subtle, and so I was automatically convinced with this lipliner when I saw how well it matched my skin tone. The pencil glides on very easily, and instantly fills in the uneven areas around my lip. Straight away, I get the perfect lip shape, ready to apply my lipstick/lip gloss.

Full Metal Eyeliner in '521'
I then turned around to see their vast collection of eyeliner colours. If there's any piece of make up that I really love, it's eyeliner. I was immediately drawn to the colours they had in their Full Metal Eyeliner collection, especially 521 (a deep, dark and pretty purple) and 527 (a bright and fresh blue/green/turquoise). I tested both on my hand and decided to go with 521, as i felt it was a colour I'd get more use out of. The eyeliner retails for £9, which but I'm not sure if I think it's worth it.
Although the eyeliner stayed on through an 8hr shift of work, the eyeliner was very sheer and required alot of application before the colour was even slightly apparent. The positive sides to this eyeliner are that the packaging means no sharpening (I hate morning rushes and having to find a sharpener!). The eyeliner also comes with a smudge sponge on its other end, meaning it can be used as an eyeliner and eyeshadow. Even though the colour is gorgeous, I still prefer the Bobbi Brown gel liners.

Nail Enamel in '877' and '809'
When I was younger, I would use my sister's nail polishes if I ever decided to paint my nails - not that she was exactly happy with this. But when I began university I had to begin my own nail polish collection. Inglot's Nail Enamels are a nail polish I've always liked, they're nice and thick, meaning they require little amounts of coating and are quick to apply! Having already picked up my lip liner and eyeliner, I spotted a tray near the till marked '30% off', a clever scheme on their behalf for weak people like me. So I gave the tray a look through and found these two Nail Enamels:
Inglot Nail Enamel in '877'
Inglot Nail Enamel in '809'
I asked the woman why there were 30% off and she told me that anything in that tray had been discontinued. I really loved these two colours, as I feel that they are the type of colour everyone should have - a deep lovely red and a soft nudey pink, they go with practically everything. When I looked at the nail polishes they had that seperation thing going on, what looks like the nail polish at the bottom, and a watery/oily substance at the top. The Nail Enamels usually retail at £8, but with 30% off, I got them for £5.60, so I wasn't too bothered, abit of shaking and they were perfectly fine. Out of the two, the '877' is my favourite. It required very little application as it was so nice and thick, and it has abit of a matte finish, which I liked as it made the nail polish look more natural. Even though I was told that these colours had been stopped, Inglot has a wide range of colours, and I'm sure there's something available which is very close to these two.

Eyeshadow Pearl in '450'
The final thing I picked up was this eyeshadow, which was also in the 30% off tray. I absolutely love this plum/raisin colour for anything. So when I saw this raisin coloured eyeshadow, Pearl in '450', I picked it up straight away, without considering how it might look on my eyes. When I finally got the chance to try it, I wasn't too sure how I felt about the colour on. The eyeshadow is such good quality, as it is highly pigmented. When putting the eyeshadow brush into the pot, the eyeshadow doesn't crumble like some cheap eyeshadows do and easily sticks to the brush. The colour is so prominent and pigmented that it shows up on the eye easily, and stays there. The only issue I had was that when placed over my eyelid, I felt like it made me look like I had sore eyes - any eyeshadow in the red family is definitely not for me. Instead, I used the eyeshadow as a bottom liner, which looked alot better. I think it could be applied on the top lid if combined with other colours, especially black to create a smokey eye with a hint of red in the corner of the eye. Inglot's Eyeshadow Pearl usually retails at £9, so with 30% off, I got this for £6.30 - quite good for a high quality eyeshadow! It's just a shame about the colour on me. I was told that this colour would also be discontinued, but it's still being shown on the Inglot website, so I'm not too sure about that.

One last little purchase...
My sister was in Accessorize using a birthday voucher, on which she only had £1 left (hate when that happens). I saw this plastic bow ring in a pastel pink for £1, so she finished the voucher on me :) I think it's a really cute ring, especially as it was so cheap.

Price List:
Inglot Soft Precision Lipliner in '56' - £8
Full Metal Eyeliner in '521' - £9
Nail Enamel in '877' and '809' - 5.60 each

Overall, my favourite purchases were definitely the lip liner (the sole purpose to visit Inglot!) and the nail polishes.
Have you tried any of these products? If so, did you like them? Or decide they'd be a one off purchase?
