The Greek Goddess
During university I regretfully haven't been heavily involved in any extra curricular activities. So, when entering my final year, I made sure to join the university magazine, Cub, and began writing for the fashion section. It's been amazing to have work published both online and through print, and I would definitely recommend any aspiring writers to get involved in any publications their university/school have!
Recently, I was given the chance to go to London Fashion Week to view Ashley Isham's A/W 2012 collection. I then got to go backstage to interview the man himself - who was lovely! Just before leaving, I saw fashionista Jameela Jamil and managed to ask her a few questions too!! The experience was absolutely amazing.
Ashley's collection included some beautiful draping and handsewn beadwork in an array of bronzes, purples and blues. The pieces were inspired on the figure of the Greek Goddess, but there was also some strong tailoring, complete with leather collars and capes. I won't go into anymore detail as I have written an article for Cub, which I will post here as soon as it is published. It was definitely a memorable experience, and once again, I encourage anyone to get involved in their school's publication! x
ps: I know the pictures aren't the best of quality, but I hope they give some indication towards how amazing the show was! I can assure the pictures that come with the article will be MUCH better!!
